CAUSES FOR THE YOUNG

& THE YOUNG AT HEART

We partner with causes across all sectors and do whatever they need us to.

Together, we have use for every skill and welcome all levels of participation. Pros to novices, young and old; we need both strength and wisdom, but most importantly we need your energy and enthusiasm.

Bring your children, bring your colleagues, bring your friends - or come and make new ones.

THE CAUSES

More Life Home

More Life Home CIC is a grass roots not-for-profit, responding to growing poverty levels in East London by saving and recycling unwanted furniture due to be sent to landfill, fixing it up and giving it to those dealing with the rising issue of furniture poverty.

Since inception in 2020, they have provided furniture and food support to approximately 1000 households, saving in excess of 250,000kgs being sent to landfill.

Lancaster West Neighbourhood Team

The Lancaster West Neighbourhood Team (LWNT) was established in 2018 as a semi-autonomous local neighbourhood team in direct response to the Grenfell Tower tragedy.

The team formed to provide high-quality neighbourhood services and create a model 21st century estate by listening to our residents, repairing and refurbishing every home and fostering a vibrant community for all to thrive in.

Sal’s Shoes

Sal’s Shoes are a charity based in Kent. They collect and then donate outgrown children’s shoes to children around the world that lack the luxury of an adequate pair of shoes which often leads to injury and infection, especially in areas with poor sanitation.

Sal’s Shoes has distributed over 5 million pairs of shoes in more than 60 countries. In the UK alone, over 180,000 pairs were distributed last year through partners such as schools, baby banks, food banks, domestic violence refuges, social services, and refugee centers. Their School Shoes Fund provided over 30,000 new pairs of school shoes to children in need. If you would like to support them but can’t volunteer, you can find donate here.
